Eligibility and Selection Criteria for CERT-IN Scientist Roles Explained

CERT‑IN’s latest recruitment drive seeks qualified individuals for 133 Scientist‑B positions. The vacancies are split into three streams: Computer Science & IT (83), Data Science & AI (25) and Electronics & Communication (25). Applications are accepted online from 14 July until 17 August, 5:30 PM.

To be eligible, applicants must hold a recognised four‑year bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology, a master’s degree in a science discipline, or an MCA. A valid GATE score in the relevant subject is mandatory. The age ceiling is 30 years as of the application deadline, with standard age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC and other reserved groups.

The hiring process will first consider the GATE scores for shortlisting, then move to personal interviews and verification of documents. Those who clear all stages will be appointed under Pay Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, earning between ₹56,100 and ₹1,77,500 monthly.
