CEO Says No Eligible Voter Removed After SIR Corrections
New Delhi - The Chief Electoral Officer emphasized that the Special Intensive Review has not resulted in the exclusion of any eligible voter. The draft voter list released earlier this year contains more than 9.7 million voters, but 33.13 lakh entries were flagged for inconsistencies and notices were sent. About 20 lakh of the flagged cases have been resolved after voters responded with correct details and supporting proof. The deadline for submitting these documents was September 30. Voters may still seek help from Booth Level Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, Electoral Registration Officers, District Electoral Officers, or directly from the CEO's office. The final version of the Delhi voter roll, incorporating all verified corrections, is expected to be published on November 4.
