Central Water Commission Flags Critical Flood Stage on Dikhau River

In a recent briefing, the Central Water Commission highlighted that the Dikhau River’s water level, recorded at 94.26 metres, exceeds the emergency threshold by 1.86 metres. While this reading is marginally lower than the historic peak of 94.35 metres logged on July 2, 2024, it still threatens the downstream settlements. The ASDMA reiterated its warning, asking the public to refrain from approaching the river and to report any emergencies promptly. Emergency response squads are positioned along the banks, prepared to mobilise if the situation deteriorates.
