New Central Vista proposal includes space allocation for 8.5 lakh books, court seeks clarification

However, the Supreme Court’s bench pressed for exact measurements, asking whether the designated area will accommodate the current collection and the extra books awaiting relocation from RK Puram. The judges warned that any shortfall could impact the preservation of one of the country’s largest government archives.
