Central minister Passwan's security under review after anonymous threat

Following an anonymous threat to his life, Union Minister Chiraag Passwan’s security arrangements have come under renewed scrutiny.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) sent a senior team to Bihar’s police headquarters to discuss the matter with DGP Vinay Kumar. The meeting reviewed the actions taken so far and questioned whether the existing guard detail is sufficient.

Party leaders called for a swift identification of the sender and demanded that the individual face stringent legal action. They also asked the police to reassess the Z‑category protection and implement any necessary upgrades.

The DGP assured that the investigation is being treated as a high‑priority case and that the minister’s safety remains a top concern for the department.
