CBI Investigation Sought in L. Khiyangte Arrest, Says Sanjay Seth

Sanjay Seth accused the Jharkhand government of turning the arrest of former JPSC chief L. Khiyangte into a political spectacle, calling it an "i‑wash" exercise under the guise of a CID enquiry. He pointed out that past investigations led by the state CID have often ended with ambiguous results, leaving the public skeptical. Seth insisted that a genuine, transparent examination of the case can only be achieved if the Central Bureau of Investigation is entrusted with the probe. He warned that without an independent investigation, the truth behind Khiyangte’s detention will remain concealed, further eroding trust in the state’s administration.
