CBI FIR implicates Aditya Thackeray; Ram Kadam presses for transparent investigation

The Central Bureau of Investigation’s recent FIR in the Disha Salian murder case lists several names, including politician Aditya Thackeray. BJP legislator Ram Kadam seized on the development to demand a fully transparent inquiry.

Kadams reiterated that Disha’s father had long alleged his daughter faced violent assault and possible gang‑rape, and that a post‑mortem examination revealed multiple wounds. He cited a sting clip in which a mortuary attendant remarked on the varied injuries, suggesting foul play that warranted immediate scrutiny.

According to Kadam, the former Thackeray government’s failure to act on these allegations represents a lapse in duty. He asked why the state did not forward the case to the CBI when the father repeatedly insisted on a central investigation.

The MLA also defended Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the broader Maratha reservation debate, noting that the government has largely accommodated community demands while acknowledging legal hurdles for some proposals. Kadam’s statements underscore ongoing political pressure to ensure that justice for Disha Salian is not delayed by administrative inertia.
