Caste‑Free Development Agenda Pushed by Bihar's Agriculture Minister
Patna – On the occasion of Diwali, Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha delivered a speech at the Triptapali monastery, calling for a caste‑free development agenda in Bihar. He argued that the state’s future depends on uniting all communities under a shared vision of growth.
Sinha noted that farmers are the nation’s food providers and should be treated as stewards of the economy, not as members of a caste group. He outlined measures to boost agricultural productivity, increase earnings for cultivators, and promote women’s participation in farm‑related ventures.
The minister also pledged to generate fresh employment opportunities for young people in agritech and related sectors, while ensuring that laborers receive fair wages, safety, and social security.
Concluding his address, Sinha appealed to citizens to rise above caste, class and discrimination, and instead prioritize talent, hard work, and social harmony. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to “respect for all, opportunities for all, and development for all” as the core of a prosperous Bihar and a stronger India.
