Cash Aid Reaches Over 2,800 Families in Six Surat Talukas

By Saturday evening, the district administration confirmed that 2,877 beneficiaries across six talukas had been paid more than INR 6.5 million in cash assistance and domestic‑damage compensation. Of these, 1,918 families received cash grants exceeding INR 1.7 million, while Udha alone accounted for 1,666 recipients with payouts over INR 1.5 million.

Additional disbursements included INR 75,600 to 84 people in Katargam, INR 77,400 to 86 individuals in Majura, and INR 73,800 to 82 residents in Abrama. Compensation for ruined household goods was also provided, with a total of 959 beneficiaries receiving INR 4.795 million.
