Compounding the pressure, capital‑grant assistance under various government schemes fell sharply from Rs 1,941 crore in 2022‑23 to just Rs 521 crore by 2025‑26. The shortfall in external financing has compelled the corporation to rely heavily on internal transfers, moving funds from the revenue account to the capital account.
