Suspects Arrested After Firing on Police in Cant Area

Gorakhpur police confirmed that two men accused of multiple chain‑snatching crimes were arrested after they shot at officers during a preventive raid in the Cant neighbourhood. The exchange resulted in leg injuries to both criminals and a constable named Bhupendra Yadav, who is receiving treatment. Police recovered two stolen chains, a motorcycle, a traditional "tamcha" firearm and several cartridges.
