Burglary in Surankot Solved: Police Recover Stolen Goods Worth Lakhs

Surankot police station in Poonch district filed a case after a shopkeeper reported a night‑time theft on the 19th and 20th of August. The perpetrator stole cooking oil, cigarettes, ghee, a gas cylinder and cash, causing a heavy financial setback for the merchant. After a focused investigation, investigators traced the crime to Jaffar Ikbal of Dudhak village. The suspect was taken into custody and a large cache of the stolen items, valued at several lakh rupees, was retrieved. Authorities urge the public to report suspicious activity promptly to aid crime prevention.
