BRS claims constitutional breakdown in Telangana, calls for Centre intervention

The BRS asserted that the constitutional machinery in Telangana has collapsed, accusing the state government of imposing a rule it likened to a “Hindu‑style authoritarian” system.

The party urged Governor Shukla to use his constitutional powers to seek information from the Chief Minister on the administration’s actions.

BRS further argued that it is the responsibility of the Union government to ensure that every state operates within the framework of the Constitution, and it appealed for immediate central oversight and corrective measures.
