Brijbhushan on SP-Congress Seat Deal, Farooq Abdullah, Akhilesh

Itawah, October 25: As the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections approach, political statements are becoming sharper. BJP leader Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has commented on the 200-seat poster put up by the Congress in connection with seat-sharing with the Samajwadi Party.

The former MP said that if he had the power to decide, he would not give Congress more than 25 seats. He added that the alliance could go ahead and manage its arrangement if it can.

Singh on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir

Singh also responded to remarks made by Farooq Abdullah. He said Abdullah's love for Pakistan occasionally becomes visible. Singh maintained that Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, and that the country's Parliament and government do not regard it as outside India. He said it would become part of India at some point and that Pakistan does not have the strength to fight India.

Akhilesh Yadav's meeting with Azam Khan

On the meeting between Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan, Singh said it should have taken place sooner. He described Uttar Pradesh's politics as very active, noting that all parties are engaged with full energy. He also said that 2027 would be an interesting time.

Allegations by BJP spokesperson

BJP national spokesperson RP Singh said that during the recent by-elections, Congress demanded seven of the ten seats. He said the party then asked for five, then two, and then proposed that its members contest on Samajwadi Party's symbol. He claimed Akhilesh Yadav did not give Congress a single seat and said the party's future share would depend entirely on Akhilesh Yadav's decision.

BJP MP's confidence in victory

BJP MP Prakash Chik Baraik, speaking near the Congress headquarters in Lucknow where the seat-sharing poster was displayed, said he had full faith that the BJP would form the government in Uttar Pradesh. He said Congress was speaking with too much confidence and asked people to wait for the elections. He added that Yogi Adityanath would return as chief minister of the state.

The statements show that seat-sharing and national issues are increasingly shaping the political narrative in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the polls.
