India Post is accelerating into the fast lane with the launch of ’24 Speed Post’, a guaranteed 24-hour delivery service debuting on March 17. Aimed at time-sensitive parcels, this service will bridge major metros, delivering efficiency where it matters most.
The Ministry of Communications confirmed the rollout on Monday, with a high-profile launch event led by Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and MoS Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani. Hosted at Akashvani Bhwan’s Rang Bhawan Auditorium at 12:30 PM, it will spotlight innovations from the Department of Posts.
Kicking off in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, the service ensures D+1 delivery among these cities. Paired with ’48 Speed Post’ for D+2 guarantees, both leverage priority air lifts and special processing to outpace competitors.
Security and transparency are baked in: OTP-verified deliveries, comprehensive tracking, and SMS alerts keep users informed. For enterprises, perks include deferred payments via Buy Now Pay Later, complimentary bulk pickups, seamless API links, and unified invoicing.
A bold money-back policy for delays reinforces trust, positioning India Post as a premium logistics contender. This aligns with ongoing reforms like automated nodal centers and APT 2.0, which enable live tracking and e-commerce integrations.
Parliamentary disclosures from Dr. Pemmasani highlight the department’s push to dominate parcel and e-commerce logistics through tech-driven upgrades. Faster processing, dependable last-mile delivery, and superior customer experiences are set to propel India Post forward, challenging private players in the bustling urban market.
