From border patrols to nation’s pride – a tribute by Nitin Nirav

Nirav highlighted the historic motto of the Kumaon regiment – ‘Parakramo Vijayate’ (valor wins). He recalled the bravery of Major Shaitan Singh and his men at the 1962 Rezang La clash, and noted that the regiment’s legacy includes over 800 graduates of the 1967 Ghorakhal military school and the first CDS General Bipin Rawat. He also paid homage to retired Major General Bhuvan Chand Khaduri and praised Uttaranchal’s recent designation as a ‘Pancham Dham’ for soldiers.
