Good news for Lord Shiva devotees planning a visit to Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple. The much-revered evening and bedtime aartis are now available for online reservation, eliminating the guesswork from your spiritual journey.
In a bid to streamline operations and promote fairness, the temple administration has introduced a fully digital booking portal. This step builds on ongoing efforts to digitize temple services, ensuring no devotee misses out due to logistical challenges.
Here’s how it works: Sandhya Aarti bookings kick off every day at 12 PM, while Shayan Aarti slots open at 4 PM via the official site. The fee is a nominal Rs 250 per person. Slots fill up fast on a first-registered, first-allotted basis.
Pilgrims enter via Gate 1, with strict cut-off times—6 PM for evening aarti and 10 PM for the night ritual. The temple assures that general darshan queues will operate smoothly alongside, so everyone gets a chance for darshan.
This innovation reflects the temple’s proactive approach to pilgrim welfare, blending ancient rituals with contemporary technology. Devotees worldwide can now plan their aarti participation from home, heightening anticipation for the profound spiritual ambiance of Mahakaleshwar.
With Ujjain’s religious tourism booming, this facility is set to become a game-changer, drawing even more faithful to experience the Jyotirlinga’s divine energy.
