Bomb Detection Units and Canine Teams Sweep Coimbatore Railway Junction

A coordinated operation involving the Railway Protection Force, government railway police, city police and specialised bomb‑disposal squads took place at Coimbatore Railway Junction on Wednesday. The teams employed advanced bomb‑search equipment and a trained sniffing dog to examine platforms, luggage bays, waiting lounges and stationary coaches. All passengers and their belongings were subjected to secondary screening while officers maintained a heightened presence in the station precincts.
