BLOs to visit households for partial enrollment forms; online submission also permitted
The Special Intensive Revision of Jharkhand's voter list is now underway, with Booth Level Officers canvassing every neighbourhood. Each officer will carry enumeration forms that are already half‑filled and will provide them to voters during home visits, a service that will continue until July 29. According to Chief Electoral Officer Ravi Kumar, citizens should complete the forms and hand them back without delay, as the mission is to make certain that every rightful Indian voter appears on the list and that no disqualified name slips in. Verification will be conducted through verbal confirmation; no additional paperwork is required unless an officer suspects an inconsistency. Voters who are away from their registered address can still file the forms via an online portal with the assistance of their BLO, and authorized family members may file on behalf of those who cannot appear in person. The finalized draft roll will be issued on August 5, excluding entries classified as dead, permanently migrated, duplicate, absent, or non‑citizen. The entire verification chain is overseen by BLO supervisors, Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant ER Officers, with an appeal route available for grievances. To spread correct guidance, the election department has deployed a robust social‑media campaign employing district handles, digital creators and other outreach tools.
