BJP Scrutinized by Congress MP Over Infiltration Claims and Tax Utilisation

Congress MP Kumari Shailja, speaking to journalists on Wednesday, placed the BJP under intense scrutiny for allegedly permitting foreign infiltrators to cross into India. She questioned the government's long‑standing tenure, asking why it has not taken firm steps to curb this security breach.

Shailja also raised concerns about Gurgaon’s current plight amid heavy rainfalls. She described how school buses are drowning in flooded potholes and residents are bewildered about coping strategies.

The MP demanded that the BJP disclose its record of development work in Gurgaon over the last twelve years, especially how the considerable tax revenues collected have been deployed. She suggested that the lack of transparency points to a mismanagement of public funds.

According to Shailja, constructing modern glass towers does not automatically render a city progressive; sustainable growth depends on job creation and proper utilization of local talent. She warned that the BJP’s silence on these matters reveals a deep‑seated weakness.

She also responded to statements from senior Congress leader Kuldeep Sharma, urging that his views be considered seriously.
