BJP's Sambit Patra Says Kharge's Words Reflect Rahul Gandhi's Style

New Delhi, October 25: Amid a growing row over remarks by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP MP Sambit Patra has said the language used was not Kharge's but that of Rahul Gandhi. He made the statement while targeting the opposition party.

Patra said Kharge was speaking to party workers in Patna when some of them reacted to his comments. One Congress worker was heard saying, 'Modi is not going anywhere.' In his speech, Kharge had earlier said he would remove Modi from office, stop his government from coming back to power, and bring Congress back into government.

According to Patra, Congress workers rose during the gathering and one of them directly said that their non-functioning president, Rahul Gandhi, is always on vacation, so how could the party win an election? Patra said that despite this, Kharge made a controversial remark about PM Modi.

Patra raised two points. He said Congress workers themselves are unsure about Rahul Gandhi's ability to lead, and that they believe he cannot deliver. He claimed Rahul Gandhi is always in vacation mode and that the party has been declining since he took over its leadership.

He added that a leader of Kharge's age should not use such language. Patra said this is not Kharge's style but Rahul Gandhi's, and that the trend was started by Rahul Gandhi. He called it the language of frustration, claiming Kharge had grown weary of promoting Rahul Gandhi, and that neither Rahul had revived the party nor had any regime change taken place.

Patra also said that those who tried to hurt traders' business on November 1 were steeped in frustration, calling their conduct highly condemnable. He concluded that every Congress worker today knows the real state of affairs.
