BJP’s Nitin Naveen conducts two‑day organizational audit in western UP

Nitin Naveen, the national head of the Bharatiya Janata Party, will undertake a two‑day fact‑finding mission in the western Uttar Pradesh districts of Meerut and Saharanpur starting Monday. The agenda centres on accelerating party‑building activities and scrutinising the electoral blueprint ahead of the forthcoming polls.

During his Meerut itinerary, Naveen will sit down with district executives, current and former members of Parliament, legislators and veteran party workers. He will also tour booths, local command posts and divisional offices to assess the scope and vigor of the BJP’s grassroots structure.

The following day, after an overnight stay in Meerut, he will proceed to Saharanpur, where a similar set of strategic consultations will be held. The visit will close with a rally addressed to the local citizenry.

Western Uttar Pradesh, accounting for 71 seats in the legislative assembly, has long been a decisive factor in the state’s political calculus. The BJP aims to solidify its on‑the‑ground presence, improve coordination among its cadres and boost booth‑level mobilisation through this hands‑on review.

This trip represents Naveen’s first foray into the region since taking charge as the party’s national president, coming at a moment when the BJP is keen to sharpen its organisational edge in an area that traditionally serves as a launch pad for its election drives, from the 2014 Lok Sabha polls to the recent assembly contests.

Observers note that the Saharanpur rally will provide a clear signal of the party’s resonance with voters in a district that remains a litmus test for broader electoral ambitions in Uttar Pradesh.
