BJP’s New Nominee Niraj Kumar Sinha Files Papers as Contestant in Banksipur By‑Poll

The Bharatiya Janata Party announced Niraj Kumar Sinha as its fresh candidate for the Banksipur by‑election on Monday. Sinha submitted his nomination form, taking over the ticket after former contender Abhishek Kumar withdrew for family reasons.

Since receiving the party’s endorsement, Sinha has met senior leaders across Bihar, including former chief minister Nitish Kumar, current chief minister Samrat Chaudhary, and deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary. He also held discussions with BJP national president Nitin Nathvie, who stepped down from the Banksipur seat after moving to the Rajya Sabha.

Sinha’s campaign will focus on development promises and consolidating the BJP’s traditional vote base.
