BJP‑NDA Candidate Expected to Secure Record Margin in Bankipure Contest
Patna, July 3 – The Bihar BJP’s state chief Sanjay Sarawagi told reporters that the party’s candidate, backed by the National Democratic Alliance, is slated to win the Bankipure by‑election with an unprecedented majority. He credited the electorate’s satisfaction with recent infrastructure projects, including the inauguration of two metro stations and the launch of newly‑approved degree colleges.
Sarawagi also highlighted the political capital generated by Nitin Nath’s elevation to the Rajya Sabha and his sustained engagement with voters in the region. The BJP leader insisted that the opposition’s attempts to sow doubt, particularly through statements by Tejashwi Yadav, would have little impact on the final outcome.
He further criticized the previous RJD government for allegedly protecting criminals and mismanaging funds, referencing scandals associated with former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. Sarawagi asserted that the current administration is focused on “good governance” and is actively pursuing anti‑corruption measures under the guidance of chief minister Samrat Chaudhary.
In his closing remarks, the BJP chief affirmed that the people of Bankipure will continue to favor the BJP‑NDA aligned candidate, delivering a decisive victory at the polls.
