In a fiery exchange in the national capital, BJP parliamentarian Mamata Mohanta drew a clear line between progressive governance and political negativity. PM Narendra Modi’s era, she proclaimed, is defined by relentless development across all states, irrespective of ruling parties. This marks a departure from the Congress-led years, which she branded as a period of unfulfilled rhetoric and zero progress.
During an interaction with media, Mohanta dissected Congress’s facade. ‘They stage shows to appear pro-people, but their record in power speaks volumes—no development, no vision,’ she stated. The BJP’s decade-plus tenure has flipped the script: central funds flow to every state, women are empowered through targeted policies, and PM Modi’s 2047 Viksit Bharat dream fuels every initiative.
Rahul Gandhi came under direct fire for his Assam tours, where Mohanta claimed he isolates himself with cadres instead of mingling with locals or pushing development agendas. ‘Opposing Modi government policies is his sole occupation,’ she quipped, painting a picture of chronic obstructionism.
Praising President Murmu’s parliamentary speech, Mohanta lauded its clarity on economic reforms, social equity, and national advancement. Addressing the shock over Ajit Pawar’s passing, she offered condolences, dismissed conspiracy theories as inappropriate, and highlighted his cross-party appeal and dedication to the underprivileged. ‘God’s will is beyond us; may his family find solace,’ she concluded, emphasizing the need for a fair probe into the mishap.
