BJP MLA Acharya on IAS Probe, Crime and Ram Mandir Row

Jaipur, October 29: BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya has addressed several issues, including action against IAS officer Shikhar Agrawal, the law and order situation in Jaipur, and the Congress party's stand on the Ram temple.

Responding to questions on possible action against IAS officer Shikhar Agrawal, Acharya said that whenever a complaint is received against any person, it is examined by the concerned department and through legal procedures. He said that if someone has done wrong, action will be taken and the guilty will face consequences.

Acharya described the BJP government in Rajasthan as a zero tolerance government. He said that during the tenure of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, officials have been suspended on the basis of complaints. He expressed confidence that future action will also be taken in accordance with the Constitution and rules.

He accused the Congress of trying to strengthen its position through false allegations because of internal factionalism and a lack of political issues. He asked the Congress to answer the alleged scams that took place during its rule.

On the question of rising crime in Jaipur, raised by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot after a theft at the house of a BJP MLA, Acharya said he was not aware of the incident. However, he claimed that over the last two and a half years the Rajasthan government has curbed thieves, pickpockets and mafia. He also referred to crime and rape cases registered in police stations during the Congress government to defend the BJP government's record.

Acharya said that if any shortcomings are found, they will also be corrected, and that the government will continue to take steps to maintain law and order in Rajasthan.
