BJP Leaders Label Owaisi’s Alliance Pitch as Political Drama Ahead of 2027 polls

The recent remarks by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, proposing a tie‑up with the Samajwadi Party, have been dismissed by several NDA heavyweights as mere political theatre.

Om Prakash Rajbhar, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet, warned that Owaisi’s overtures could mislead voters. He pointed out that both Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi claim to be the voice of the Muslim community, while Owaisi’s demand for a Muslim chief minister is unlikely to gain their approval.

Jaiveer Singh underlined the BJP’s confidence, stating that the party’s robust grassroots network will secure well over fifty percent of the vote, delivering a comfortable majority irrespective of how opposition parties align.

Anil Rajbhar added that such back‑room manoeuvring will not affect the BJP’s trajectory, asserting that the electorate is poised to repeat the 2017 verdict in the 2027 assembly contest.

Senior BJP leaders Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Ram Kadam described Owaisi’s alliance pleas as “unheard” and a sign of defeat before the polls. They reiterated that the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, is set to form the next government in Uttar Pradesh.

Shiv Sena representative Saina NC concluded, cautioning that voters will not embrace Owaisi’s appeasement politics, and that the next government will be led solely by Yogi Adityanath and the NDA.
