Congress accused of undermining democracy by BJP leader
Lucknow, October 12 – In a sharp rebuttal to the Congress Party, BJP MLA Rajesh Chaudhary said the opposition has a long history of eroding democratic principles. Referring to the recent statement by CM Yogi Adityanath, Chaudhary said the Congress has always tried to keep the country under a single family’s grip.
He cited the party’s three consecutive Lok Sabha losses as evidence that voters have rejected its agenda. Unable to adjust, Chaudhary claimed, the Congress now attacks constitutional institutions, ranging from the Supreme Court to the Election Commission, to regain relevance.
The MLA contrasted this with what he described as the NDA’s clean‑governance model, where initiatives such as Direct Benefit Transfer eliminate middlemen and ensure transparency.
Chaudhary also condemned the Congress’s internal discord, noting incidents where women leaders allegedly face harassment within the party’s own offices.
