BJP Joining Criteria: Ideology Over Emotion, Says Dilip Ghosh
Kolkata, October 27: Minister Dilip Ghosh has also spoken about leaders from other parties joining the BJP in Kolkata. He said that political decisions should not be taken on the basis of emotions.
According to Ghosh, ideology and principles should get more importance in politics than sentiments.
He said that if a leader can move from the Congress to the BJP, a person from the opposition can also join the party. However, he stressed that the image and ideology of those who want to join the BJP must be carefully assessed.
Ghosh explained that the party examines whether the views of the person concerned match the ideology of the BJP before accepting them.
His remarks came as part of a wider discussion on law and order and social values. Ghosh maintained that both political discipline and public morality play an important role in shaping the future direction of the state.
