BJP Declares Early Victory in Rajasthan Urban Elections, Points to Development

In the first day of Rajasthan's urban body elections, the BJP has reportedly secured a dominant position, Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav stated on September 20. He linked the party’s success to the rapid development agenda rolled out under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, including new investment inflows, decisive action on inter‑state water issues, and a boost in law‑and‑order measures. Yadav noted that the party’s candidates won without opposition in many wards of Dungarpur, Bharatpur and Alwar, underscoring the electorate’s trust. He also lauded the efforts of state chief minister and party president Madan Rathore, saying the administration will now transition from a "double‑engine" to a "triple‑engine" model to further accelerate progress.
