BJP Demands Swift Action After Six Injured in Haveri Bull‑Run Festival

The BJP’s senior opposition figure R. Ashok appealed directly to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, urging the government to ensure that all participants in the Naregal bull‑run are brought to justice. He highlighted that the clash, triggered by the illegal bursting of firecrackers, resulted in two victims losing fingers and eight others being wounded, three critically. The leader accused the Congress administration of turning a blind eye to “communal disruption” and called for the state to bear the medical costs of the injured farmers, as well as to enforce stringent penalties to deter any future disturbance of traditional celebrations.
