Birbhum hotel fire claims six lives; government pledges relief funds

A tragic fire at the Videshini Hotel near Tarapith police station claimed six casualties and left many injured. The Prime Minister's Office, on behalf of Narendra Modi, expressed profound sadness and directed immediate support to the affected families. The announcement confirmed a payment of ₹200,000 per deceased family member and ₹50,000 for each injured survivor, under the Prime Minister National Relief Fund. Emergency services rescued the wounded and transported them to Ramparhati Government Medical College for treatment.
