In Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a woman was deceived by a tantrik. He convinced her that her money never lasts and offered to perform a ritual for prosperity. The woman, swayed by his words, brought him to her home. During the ritual, the tantrik stole something valuable from her. The woman realized the theft the next day, leading to distress.
Distraught, the woman reported the incident to the police, who are now searching for the fraudulent tantrik. The woman, named Meera, runs a tea shop near LNT Business Management College in Bhagwanpur and lives in IG Colony. Originally from Garaul, Vaishali, she told police that the man, who claimed to be a tantrik, had been visiting her shop for several days. He would stay for a long time after drinking tea.
Meera mentioned that she often fell ill, and though she earned money, there was no prosperity in her home. The con artist, claiming to be a tantrik, offered to perform a ritual to solve her problems. She fell for his deception and brought him home without hesitation. The fake tantrik instructed Meera to bring all her jewelry.
He then wrapped the jewelry in red cloth, recited some mantras, and returned the bundle. He instructed her not to open it until the next morning, after watering the Tulsi plant. The next morning, after watering the Tulsi, Meera opened the bundle to find only a packet of paper. Her jewelry was gone. Meera suspects that the con artist might have used some chemical at the time of giving the bundle, causing her to be disoriented. The Station Officer of Sadar Police Station, Asmit Kumar, said that the matter is under investigation.
