West Bengal Man Facing Love Plot Beaten by Crowd Over Burqa Disguise

A love story turned into a violent episode on Thursday in Jehanabad, Bihar. Kisor Rathore, originally from West Bengal, arrived at the city’s Fida Hussain Road in a black burqa to surprise his girlfriend, a local Muslim woman. The unusual clothing raised eyebrows among nearby residents.

Young men from the area intercepted the stranger, demanding to know his purpose. When they forced the burqa open, they discovered a man underneath. The revelation sparked outrage; a sizeable crowd converged and began physically attacking him with kicks, punches and wooden sticks.

Neighbors quickly reported the chaos to the police through the emergency helpline. Responding officers arrived, broke up the melee, and safely escorted the battered youth to the nearest police station for medical care and interrogation.

Police sources say Rathore had previously been employed in tile‑laying jobs in Jehanabad and had been in contact with his partner for an extended period.
