Water Supply Department Reports Over 300,000 Grievances Resolved

The Public Health Engineering Department disclosed that between 15 August 2025 and 28 September 2026, it received a total of 300,622 complaints concerning water supply across Bihar. Of these, 296,179 grievances have already been cleared, reflecting a resolution ratio of 98.5 %.

The department’s grievance‑redressal fund was also reviewed during the meeting. Officials highlighted that the high clearance rate is the result of intensified inspection drives, prompt repair work, and an upgraded complaint‑tracking system.

CM Samrat Chaudhary praised the department’s performance but warned that the remaining pending cases must be cleared without delay. He urged continuous monitoring of water quality and urged that the supply schedule remain fully functional.

Present at the session were Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Development Commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh, CM Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, PHED Secretary B. Kartikeya Dhanji, and Special Secretary Sanjeev Kumar.
