Three Bullets Hit JD(U) Politician’s Son, Rescue Uncle Also Wounded

In a brazen act of violence, three bullets each struck Shubham Kushwaha and his uncle Sagar Kushwaha outside a tea stall close to Newalal Chowk. The father, JD(U) leader Amarendra Kushwaha, alleges that a local smuggler network orchestrated the attack. The pair were travelling in a Tata Punch when four hooded men on motorcycles accelerated towards them and began an indiscriminate shooting. Shubham tried to take shelter inside his vehicle, while his uncle stepped forward to protect him, drawing the fire. Both victims are now under intensive care at a private medical facility, their conditions described as critical by attending physicians. Police have cordoned off the site, reviewed surrounding CCTV recordings, and are pursuing leads that may connect the assault to a property‑parking dispute that occurred three days earlier.
