State Highways to Impose Toll in Bihar; Rates Published

The Bihar cabinet has given its nod to extend toll collection to state highways as well. Until now, tolls were only levied on national highways crossing the state. A ministerial decision will soon specify which state routes will be subject to the charge. The policy also outlines the exact rates per kilometre for different vehicle categories. The announcement came after a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Samrat Chaudhary, and an official notification has been issued to inform the public about the upcoming changes.
