Silver Market Correction Offers Bargain for Buyers Ahead of Festive Season

Silver prices plunged more sharply than gold today, with the September 4, 2026 contract sliding to Rs 219,205 per 10 grams – a fall of Rs 1,415 or 0.64 percent. The drop makes silver the most attractive metal for cost‑conscious shoppers.

Across major cities the price per 10 grams settled at Rs 2,350, while the per‑kilogram rate is Rs 2,35,000 in most locations. A few southern markets such as Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi posted a slightly higher rate of Rs 2,401 per 10 grams (Rs 2,40,100 per kilogram).

Experts believe the correction creates a buying window for jewellery lovers and investors alike, especially as the festive and wedding calendar approaches. However, they caution buyers to monitor daily fluctuations and align purchases with personal financial plans rather than short‑term market hype.
