The swelling Sikarhna River is no longer limited to Lalparsa South Tola. Its waters now overflow onto roads in about ten nearby villages, including Sapha, Kethvalia, Madhumalti, Bhawanipur, Lakshmipur, and Roushanpur. The flooding has disrupted daily commutes, hampered access to markets and schools, and forced many families to seek temporary shelter with neighbours. Residents have appealed to authorities for immediate relief, safe rehabilitation, and robust erosion‑control infrastructure, warning that without swift action many more houses could vanish into the river in the coming days.
