Rainfall Expected Across Rajasthan, MP, Punjab and Haryana
After weeks of extreme heat, the north‑west states are set to get a fresh monsoon boost. Rajasthan will see widespread rain from July 2 to July 4, with districts such as Churu, Alwar, Udaipur, Ajmer, Dholpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bharatpur, Dausa, Phalodi and Jaipur likely to receive heavy showers and wind gusts near 70 km/h.
Madhya Pradesh has also been placed under a heavy‑rain alert covering Vidisha, Raisen, Chhindwara, Indore, Balaghat, Seoni and Morena. Wind speeds of 40‑50 km/h are expected, and rising river levels may cause local flooding.
Punjab and Haryana will enjoy relief from the heat as strong rains sweep across Patiala, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Faridkot, Fazilka, Ferozepur and Gurdaspur. While temperatures should drop, officials warn of possible water‑logging, traffic snarls and occasional power outages in affected areas.
