Precious Metals Rally: 24K Gold Hits ₹1.49 Lakh, Silver Tops ₹2.31 Lakh per Kg

The Indian bullion market experienced a notable upswing this week, with 24-carat gold breaking the ₹1.49 lakh barrier for the first time in the current cycle, closing at ₹1,49,621 per 10 grams. 22-carat gold rose to ₹1,37,053 and 18-carat to ₹1,12,216. Silver, often a barometer of industrial demand, climbed to ₹2,31,381 per kilogram, a rise of ₹13,086. Analyst Ajay Kedia highlighted that the price gains were underpinned by eased inflation concerns and diminishing geopolitical premiums. International benchmark prices remain around $4,400 per ounce for gold and $63 per ounce for silver, reinforcing the domestic rally.
