Police Seize Hundreds of Litres of Illicit Liquor from Women-Operated Van in Bihar

A routine traffic stop near the Pahadpur overbridge in Gopalganj turned into a major bust for Bihar's anti-liquor task force. The van, driven by a man and occupied by five women, showed an abnormal weight reading, signaling possible concealed cargo. A meticulous search revealed 216 litres of foreign alcoholic beverage stashed inside. The contraband, assessed at a multi-million-rupee value, was confiscated, and the vehicle was seized as evidence. Six suspects, all residents of the Dukhaharan area in Jadarpur police zone, were taken into judicial custody.
