Authorities in Purnia have recovered a significant quantity of the illegal drug smack, hidden inside ordinary soap containers. The seized packets, discovered after a thorough search of a pink‑coloured bag, weighed a total of 306.85 grams. Experts estimate the street value at around 5 million rupees. The arrested individual, Saurabh Kumar, has a prior conviction for a liquor‑related offence, prompting investigators to probe his connections with other drug traffickers and local beauty parlours that may have facilitated the shipment.
