Police Recover Victim’s Phones, Launch Special Investigation After Shocking Assault

During the investigation, detectives recovered two mobile phones that the victim had been forced to hand over during the attack. The devices were secured as evidence and handed over to the forensic lab for analysis.

Given the gravity of the case, the Superintendent of Police, Bharat Sony, constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to examine every facet of the crime, including possible links to other offenses. The SIT is also reviewing CCTV footage from nearby railway crossings and interviewing local residents.

The police have promised swift legal action based on the collected evidence, emphasizing zero tolerance for gender‑based violence in the region.
