Police Interrogate Teacher in Supaul After Allegations of Indecent Acts on Children

Law enforcement officials in Supaul district have placed a teacher under interrogation following serious accusations of indecent behavior with students. The suspect, Devnandhan Mehta, was arrested after villagers presented a series of complaints alleging that he engaged in obscene conduct within the school premises.

According to statements collected from parents and students, the teacher allegedly forced younger pupils onto his lap, showed them explicit material on a mobile device, and engaged in further inappropriate conduct. The claims have led to an atmosphere of dread among the children, many of whom now fear returning to school.

Pipra police station head Kishore Kumar disclosed that the teacher was brought to the station in the early evening and that investigators are reviewing video evidence, witness testimonies, and school records. The police have emphasized that the case will be handled with full legal rigor.

The headmaster of the school, Suman Saurabh, expressed deep concern and confirmed that the institution is cooperating fully with the investigation. Community members have demanded swift legal action and stricter monitoring of educators to prevent similar incidents in the future.
