Police bust ₹3 lakh theft scheme by Katihar dealership employees

Law enforcement in Katihar has uncovered a staged theft involving three lakh rupees that was engineered by two employees of a local tractor showroom. The plan involved claiming that two unknown bikers had robbed the staff while they were transporting the payment from Manihari.

After the shop owner reported the incident, detectives from the district police department examined the statements of the accused. Ganesh Rai’s account contained several contradictions, leading investigators to question him rigorously. He eventually confessed that he and fellow employee Sanjeet Kumar Paswan fabricated the entire incident to divert the money to themselves.

The police recovered the entire sum of ₹3 lakh in cash from Paswan’s residence and placed both suspects in custody. Legal proceedings are now in progress, and the inquiry remains open to identify any possible accomplices.
