Political Links Highlighted in Bihar’s Disturbing Incidents

Two of the three districts where the heinous acts against minor girls occurred—Jamui and Samastipur—fall within constituencies represented by members of Paswan's own party. In Samastipur, MP Shambhavi Chaudhary is at the centre of the controversy, while Jamui is represented by Paswan’s brother‑in‑law, Arun Bharti.

Earlier, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav accused Chaudhary of attempting to conceal the identities of the perpetrators. The MP was also alleged to have shared a cropped police press release on Facebook, omitting the names of the accused. Paswan refrained from commenting on Chaudhary directly but praised the swift actions taken by local MP Arun Bharti, noting both arrests and an encounter in the Jamui case.
