North to South India Weather Forecast: From Himachal Snow to Kerala Showers

The monsoon season is delivering a wide spectrum of weather conditions from the Himalayan foothills to the coastal stretches of southern India. In the mountainous region of Uttarakhand, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in Dehradun, Nainital and surrounding districts. Fresh snowfall has already blanketed peaks such as Nilkanth at Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib.

Himachal Pradesh, still reeling from previous rain‑induced damages worth billions of rupees, expects a brief period of clear skies for the next three days with a modest temperature rise of two to three degrees.

Moving southwards, Kerala and the coastal districts of Karnataka anticipate light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will mostly see partly cloudy skies with intermittent showers.

In the eastern corridor, West Bengal, especially the Ganges and sub‑Himalayan zones, along with Sikkim, are forecasted to receive moderate to heavy rain. The northeastern states—Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Manipur—are under thunderstorm and heavy rain alerts, signalling a particularly active monsoon phase for the region.
