New Anand Vihar Terminal to Serve as Hub for Bihar Routes

To support the inter‑state bus service, a brand‑new bus terminal is under construction in Anand Vihar, East Delhi. Spanning 13.5 meters in width, the facility will act as the primary hub for all buses operating on the Delhi‑Bihar routes.

Anand Vihar already functions as a major multimodal interchange, linking the Delhi Metro, Indian Railways and an extensive bus network. The addition of a dedicated terminal for Bihar buses will streamline passenger handling, ticketing and vehicle maintenance.

The terminal will feature separate bays for AC and non‑AC semi‑sleeper buses, ample waiting areas, and real‑time information displays to keep travelers informed about departures and arrivals. Officials anticipate that the new hub will greatly improve the overall travel experience and reduce congestion at existing bus stands.

Construction is progressing rapidly, with an aim to have the terminal operational before the Chhath Puja festivities commence, ensuring that the inaugural bus services have a fully functional base of operations.
