Market Watch: Gold Stays Volatile While Silver Holds Steady

Investors are watching a volatile gold market as geopolitical friction between the United States and Iran intensifies. On September 11, gold settled 0.92% lower at ₹1,52,341 per 10 grams, driven by stronger-than-expected U.S. producer inflation data and the prospect of a Federal Reserve rate hike on September 16.

In India, the price of 24-carat gold is about ₹15,458 per gram, with 22-carat at ₹14,015 and 18-carat at ₹11,594. City-wise rates for 22-carat gold hover around ₹1,41,400-₹1,41,850 per 10 grams; 24-carat prices sit between ₹1,54,250-₹1,55,130.

Silver, however, remains relatively steady at ₹2,450 per 10 grams in most cities, rising to ₹2,500 in a few southern metros.
